The Life of Charlie Kirk
by Steven Olivia
Charlie Kirk was raised as Christian. He also was the CEO of Turning point USA, an organization that was "dedicated to empowering Christians to put their faith into action." Charlie Kirk was a Republican. He did not drink or smoke, and was married to his wife Erika. Together they had two daughters ages 1 and 3. He was born in Arlington Heights in Illinois and lived Phoenix, Arizona.
Charlie was a man of faith who lived by the words that he spoke. He did this by always maintaining a life dedicated to God and by bringing as many people as he could toward faith and Jesus. Charlie would travel to college campuses and invite people to debate their beliefs with him. He was always interested in debating people who gave opinions most different than his own, and felt that talking about your differences was the only way to resolve them. On September 10th, Charlie was assassinated while speaking to people at Utah Valley University. He was 31 years old.
Charlie will always be remembered as someone who maintained a respectful dialog with people who disagreed with him strongly, as well as a person who always put Jesus first in his life.
